This was certainly a very potent deep red wine. The smell was almost overpowering with all kinds of berries, but I was also even able to pick up what smelled like to me something that resembled cake. It almost smelled creamy, but had a dry and tannic taste to it with not much else going on. The finish didn't leave much of any potent flavors to me either, but overall this was still not too bad of a red wine.
