Colorwise this had a basic nice darker red look. But if there was ever a wine that had pepper in it, this was the one. I immediately smelled TONS of pepper and spice from this wine, so much that it masked anything else. There was some nice oak in this one however, not too much though which is good. Strong dark berry and cherry flavors were also hitting me on the finish, and the lasting bitterness made this a wine I wanted to try with a nice piece of flank steak.
