Immediately when I looked at the color on this Chianti it reminded me of what I'd expect in a rose, that is it was a lighter red that was almost pink. The nose had a lot of cinnamon aspects to it with a little bit of apple and cream. After tasting it there was A LOT of oak going on there as I should have expected with the cream smell, but was sweet, light on the tannins and didn't give me that bite. A little less oak would have made it more appealing, but it wasn't bad.
